I was hooked and the interest grew as I got older. I moved to a 35mm SLR camera after repairing a broken one that my dad gave me. Digital photography opened a whole new world and interest in taking photos. The instant feedback that is gained by shooting digital and the speed in which you can view and print images is fantastic. I shoot mostly landscape images while traveling but also enjoy shooting portraits at family events and outings. I like to experiment with low light and with HDR photography as well.Sony A850 & A700 DSLRs, lenses from 10mm to 300mm, Lightroom 3, Epson 1400Landscape, Travel, PortraitCape Girardeau

Candid Karen Forum Member 3 12-06-2012 09:48 AM   MemberI taught myself photography with my 1st camera being a Pentax K1000. I wore that baby out and had to get a 2nd one. I chose this camera because I wanted to learn the hard way. That was a long, long time ago. Now I use a Kodak Z981 simply because it takes great pics and can do alot of different things. I no longer can afford a really nice digital so this works for me. I hardly ever go anywhere without my camera by my side. Just ask my bffs.Kodak EasyShare Z981Nature, landscape, flowers, animals, weatherJackson, MO

I have lived in many states and traveled half of the world, so I enjoy people of all varieties. Our differences are what make the world interesting, and it is my hope that unique cultures can retain their differences for future generations.Nikon D-7000 & D-60Nature and Landscape, though I am wanting to learn portrait and studioJackson, MO

I started out with a Sony entry level camera and took some really great pictures. However, I was limited in what I was able to capture and I wanted more. In the fall of 2007 I began digital photography classes and upgraded my equipment to Pentax. Today I shoot with a Nikon D700 and a Canon 7D. My true passion is landscape photography but I also love the rush of getting a great picture of a bull elk, buffalo, bear, eagle, or hawk. Now all of this brings me to another passion, post processing. I am not talking extremes just being able to bring out of the picture what I originally saw. I use Photoshop CS5, Bridge, and several plug-ins like Photomatrix for HDR. To me post processing is reliving the experience. Since getting into photography I have become more cognizant of nature, wildlife, and my surroundings. I see things to day that for years I missed. All this re-enforces by belief in a supreme being and creator. When I am hiking in the woods or mountains I can see his presence in all things.Nikon and CanonNature, LandscapeNew Madrid
