It's Party Time!

Who's ready for the RRPA Christmas Party tomorrow night (Thursday, Dec 17th starting around 5:30ish)? Don't forget to bring a Steal from your Neighbor gift ($5 photography related) and wear the ugliest sweater that you can! Members bring a side dish and/or dessert for about 30 people. It's Christmas Time!

The annual RRPA Christmas Party is scheduled for December 17th beginning around 5-5:30pm in the Oscar Hirsch Room of the Cape Girardeau Public Library. This event is open to members, family and friends, so bring your spouse, kids and/or friends. The club will provide meat and cheese trays, with the members bringing a dish and/or dessert for each person attending. We will be doing a Steal From Your Neighbor game and will be having an Ugly Sweater contest. If you have questions, contact Dan at 225-6593 (call or text), through PM on Facebook or via email at dbuckenmyer@mindspring.com . If you have not indicated that you are planning on attending on our Facebook page, please let me know that you are planning to come, how many folks with you and type of dish that you are planning on bringing.

Special Event Announcement

We are pleased to announce that the RRPA has been invited to New Madrid to tour the sites and visit the Hart-Steppe House on Saturday, November 7th.. There will be a riverboat docked there that morning, so there is plenty to see.The boat docks around 8:00 on the 7th. They will have the Gallery open at 7:00 am with coffee and donuts for everyone. There is the New Madrid Historical Museum and the Higgerson Landing that are downtown to visit. A discount ticket to both is $7.00 and through them if you wanted to tour the Hunter Dawson Home, you can also get a discount ticket for $4.00. This is for those wanting to see these venues. There is also the River Walk and the gallery which of course are free. More fun places to see can be drummed up.
